2016 Fairest of the Fair

Liz Gilson

2016 Fairest of the Fair

My name is Liz Gilson, daughter of Tony and Jill Gilson. I am a Luxemburg-Casco graduate, and currently studying at UW-Stevens Point to obtain my bachelor’s degree in biology with a pre-physician assistant emphasis and a minor in chemistry. Once my bachelor’s degree is completed, I will continue my education with graduate school where I will earn a physician assistant degree in the orthopedic field. I joined 4-H in 2001 and have been a member of the Casco Comets club for 14 years. Starting out as a Cloverbud, I brought a variety of projects to show at the fair along with participating in Kiddie Showmanship. My animal showing years were very short-lived; however, I still do help out with my aunt and uncle’s Clydesdale horses at times. The majority of my experience in 4-H involved making numerous projects for the fair until graduating. I am extremely excited to be named the 2016 Kewaunee County Fairest of the Fair and look forward to spending my next year interacting with residents from all over the county and state, promoting the 2016 Kewaunee County Fair.
